Bangladesh to Celebrate Global Entrepreneurship Week with StartUpBash
Since 2008, “Global Entrepreneurship Week” is observed every year worldwide and ever since its initiation, approximately 10 million people from around 125 countries have participated in various programs of GEW.
In order to celebrate the GEW week here in Bangladesh, a good number of initiatives have been brought up to motivate the aspiring entrepreneurs. Startup Bash has organised a week long of exciting events where aspiring entrepreneurs would join in in the week-long fiesta and take part in the events that has been designed with diverse components. The Startup Bash would take place at several venues including BASIS, NewsCred, EMK Center and American Club in Dhaka.
Elements of this programme include areas such as aspects on creating the bridge between entrepreneurs and investors, working with business models, show casing the stories of successful entrepreneurs, solving different problems through business and achieving success by using technology. Fayaz Taher, one of the lead organiser of “Startup Bash’’ and CEO of Fortuna said, “at present, entrepreneurs globally are not only creating jobs, but also working to solve social issues as well.” Fayaz also states that, “our goal is to drive the young entrepreneurs in Bangladesh to formulate new and innovative ideas and lead them to create more jobs for the national economy and solve social problems as well.”
