LG announces K Series smartphones for CES 2017
With CES coming upon, every consumer electronics company will be upping it’s game. This become more true for the likes of company such as LG, Samsung, Sony and more. While most of the announcements come during the event going on, LG seems to have unraveled five of its mid and low range device already.
As expected, the announced smartphones are from the K series 2017 edition and the successor of Stylus series, Stylus 3.
The K series consists of four devices, K3, K4, K8 and K10. In a very obvious manner, the K10 is the upper end device here. The device packs a Mediatek MT6750 processor packed in a 5.3” HD display. While the other internals are mostly 32GB ROM, 2GB RAM and a traditional 13MP+5MP camera combo. Measuring a 148.7 x 75.3 x 7.9 mm body with 142 gram of weight, the phone packs a 2,800mAh battery and runs on the latest Android 7.0 Nougat. Oh, it also has fingerprint sensor.
The middle one, K8 (2017) packs a Snapdragon 425 chipset in a 5 inch HD display body. The configuration here are a 1.5GB/16GB, RAM/ROM while the camera remains the same from K10. While the camera and OS remains same, the battery is a tad smaller at 2,500mAh. You will also have to say bye bye to that fingerprint sensor.
The last two are the low range devices in the K series, the K4 and K3 (2017) powered by Snapdragon 210 processor and sporting a FWVGA display. With it’s 1GB/8GB solution, awkwardly enough it runs on Andorid 6.0 Marshmallow. The screen size here is 5 inch and 4.5 inch. The camera is also 5/5MP or 5/2MP respectively. Battery comes either the same as K8 or a more lesser 2,100mAh.
Lastly, the Stylus 3 returns with the same chipset of K10, Mediatek MT6750 and it’s octa core processor. The display size goes up to 5.7 inch still maintaining that HD resolution while the ram goes to 3GB and the ROM becomes 16GB. The device sports a 13MP rear and 8MP front camera all running with the support of Android 7.0 Nougat and backed by 3,200mAh battery. Like the K10 it also has fingerprint scanner while the name can assure the availability of a stylus with it. You will also see the option for FM radio which many doesn’t provide these days.
All of these handsets will be displayed during the upcoming event of CES 2017.
