Finally, after 4 months, Google plus releases the option to create your own page for your brand/product. Google did face lot of questions on why they did not provide a platform for businesses to link with the users in Google Plus. Good thing its here now! Thanks to Google for releasing this new feature and making it possible for us, bloggers, to have their own page in Google. More over, they have introduced a new feature, Direct Connect from Google search.  According to their blog post, it would enable the users to go directly to the Google Page when they would search their desired brand with a ‘+’ sign before it !

Direct Connect from Google search
People search on Google billions of times a day, and very often, they’re looking for businesses and brands. Today’s launch of Google+ Pages can help people transform their queries into meaningful connections, so we’re rolling out two ways to add pages to circles from Google search. The first is by including Google+ pages in search results, and the second is a new feature called Direct Connect.

So how do you create your own page ? Its simple, just as Google promised for all its products!

After you log in to your Google Plus profile, look below the hangouts option and there you have the option to create your Google+ Page.

From the categories, select the one that fits your brand.

Put in your desired Tagline and the your logo. This is the part where you have lots of options to spice up your logo. There is the option to Crop, Rotate, Exposure, Colours, Sharpen and Resize. And if you have no idea what to do. Just click Auto-Fix to let the app do the job itself. Atleast we don’t get these options in Facebook while creating pages there but I am pretty sure, they will start providing such feature soon!

And this is how your page would look like once its done!

If you have a blog, just like putting the ‘Like’ button for your Facebook page, you would also like to put a Badge in your blog. Currently, you have the option to select only three badges : Small, Medium and Large Icon. The Stndard Badge and the Small Badge is not yet available !

Enjoy creating your pages ! 🙂
