Acer, this week, has unveiled a new addition to their Windows 8.1 tablet lineup christened the Acer Aspire Switch 10.
Weighing 590g and measuring just 8.9mm, the tablet is armed with a Bay Trail-T quad core processor and a 2GB of RAM with either 64GB or 32GB storage.
According to Peter Han, Vice president of Worldwide OEM Marketing of Microsoft elucidates:
“The market is experiencing explosive growth in the 2-in-1 category and Acer has been a leading innovator,”-“We are looking forward to partnering with Acer on the launch of their new Acer Aspire Switch which will provide customers with a great Windows 8.1 experience for both touch and keyboard.”
The device sports a 10.1 inch IPS Touch display with a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels. Such display provices a wide viewing angle of upto 178-degrees with richer colours. The tablet also has a Zero Air Gap technology which delivers more crisp and brighter images. When in broad daylight, it becomes quite hard to see the tablet’s display. With Acer LumiFlex, it optimises the screen visibility during the outdoor activities which makes it easier to see the display.
The Acer Aspire Switch 10 will have features such as InstantGo that would keep applications and data up-to-date even when the display off. The device also comes preloaded with Microsoft Office Home and Student 2013 completely free of cost!
