[Rumor] Samsung’s first Tizen smartphone to launch in India and Russia

We have heard various rumors regarding Samsung launching its first Tizen based smartphone in Russia in the month of May. In Samsung’s perspective, its time for them to have their own operating system to compete against the others.

Through Tizen, they are looking forward to have a firm stance in the smartphone/tablet arena. It’s not that we haven’t seen Tizen yet as it has already been launched in the latest Gear 2 and Gear 2 Neo smartwaches.Tizen Smartphone

According to a report in the Wall Street Journal, Samsung might be launching its first Tizen based smartphone in, not only Russia, but also India in the coming weeks.

The launching programme will supposedly be held in Moscow and should be around at a time when Tizen Developer conference will take place which will be held on June 2-4 in San Francisco.

Here’s what the WSJ reported,’

The South Korean company is planning an event in Moscow in the coming weeks to introduce a smartphone running on the Tizen operating system, the people said. The Russia release would be presented at an event similar to the format that Samsung uses to unveil its flagship devices, one of the people said. The event will be timed to take place around a developer’s conference that Tizen’s backers organized for early June in San Francisco,” according to WSJ.

Also in the reports, Samsung is also producing TVs running with the Tizen OS but there isn’t any firm information regarding it release.

We’ve yet to get an official statement from Samsung and its associates regarding the launching of the first Tizen smartphone and we’ll surely update you with any latest news regarding this matter.
