After a long wait, Micromax Bangladesh finally started rolling out Android 5.1 (Lollipop) update for the Canvas Xpress 2. Canvas Xpress 2 comes with an octa-core MediaTek processor, 1GB of RAM and 13 Megapixels rear camera with a price tag of 8500 taka.
In the age of Android 6.0 (Marshmallow), Android Lollipop is hardly anything to be excited about. This update brings all the standard features of Lollipop including Lock screen notification, screen pinning and “material theme” throughout the whole operating system.
Using the updated operating system for about 2 hours, we found a significant development in battery life. The phone app is completely redesigned and we have mixed opinion about it. The caamera and most of the other apps are as it is but they seemed to be more stable than before

It seems, we still can not move apps to internal SD card which is a bummer. Since there’s only 8GB of internal memory on the phone, not being able to move apps to the microSD card is a serious issue. Micromax, please do something about it.
