With the hashtag #ReadyForTomorrow, Bangladesh are ready to showcase its ICT feats at the Digital World 2017 expo at the Bangabandhu International Conference Center on December 6, as told by the organizers of the event, who are the ICT division, in association with Bangladesh Computer Council, Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services and Access to Information Programme or a2iProgramme of the Prime Minister’s Office.
State minister for IT Zunaid Ahmed Palak said in a statement, “Through the Digital World 2017, we will showcase our developments to the local and international IT giants.” Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is also expected to grace the event with her presence by inaugurating the four-day exhibition.
This year’s theme “Ready For Tomorrow” aims to connect innovators, entrepreneurs, investors and industrial leaders and IT workforce of the country.
Over 200 representatives from top IT organisations will take part in different sessions of the event. These will include the likes of Google and Nuans. There will be more than 300 stalls and pavilions, more than 24 seminars, conferences and policy dialogues.
The event will also have several “zones.” These are Software Showcasing, e- Governance Zone, e- Commerce Zone, Gaming Zone, Experience Zone, Startup Bangladesh Zone, Mobile Innovation Zone and Made-in-Bangladesh Zone.
Mr. Palak has invited everyone to attend, saying, “I also invite our people to come to the Digital World and comprehend the current Bangladesh.”
